Moms and dads, brothers and sisters, friends and neighbors – these are the voices and stories that will be critical to win equality for LGBT Iowans.

In recognition of the role that PFLAG plays in the fight for equality, One Iowa has teamed with PFLAG National to provide ongoing support for PFLAG chapters across the state. We at One Iowa understand that winning equality begins by winning the hearts and minds of those in our local communities. By joining your local PFLAG chapter, you can meet other supporters in your area and participate in our grassroots effort to further equality in Iowa.

PFLAG's Mission: PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights. Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.
